Or as we call it in the biz: The beginning of HELL week! 6 days in a row of non-stop fun!
Notice that your schedule says that we start at 6:00 pm. That's the absolute latest you are allowed to show up for rehearsal. If you come any later without texting me or Ashlyn, you will trigger us into panic mode. We will hunt you down and we will find you. We'll be in a better mood if you're the one that contacts us first though.
On show nights, we'll start Act 1 at 7:00 pm. That's different than previous years because high schools in general have shifted the start times of their musicals to 7:00 pm. It's not a typo.
BUT for our rehearsals on Monday and Tuesday, we are starting Act 1 at 6:30 to get us out of there just a little bit earlier.
SO....you need to come in earlier if you have a lot to do for costumes, make up, ect. I'll be here at 5:00 (probably). Don't plan on staying after school until 5:00, because I do have to go home and come back.
WARMUP will be at 6:15. At that time when we yell WARMUP! you need to drop whatever you are doing and gather around the piano. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you're not ready, then maybe you should've arrived earlier.
I'll give you the 5-minute warning and head out to find a new spot to watch the show. We are doing the entire thing with the intermission and the newly added bows. Don't forget the bows.
Afterwards, you'll do an amazing job cleaning up like you did on Friday night, go home, sleep and we'll do it all again on Tuesday.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know! Is there anything that you need from us? Anything you can think of that can make the show even better (besides better diction and enunciation-see Lock-In thread)? Share!
See you Monday!
