Just a reminder that after the show, everyone is invited to Denny's night. This is at the Arlington Denny's. I'm only mentioning that because we've had at least 2 instances in past years where people ended up in Everett wondering where the cast was at.
If you need a ride, this would be a good place to beg for one. Remember that this isn't a requirement that you attend. If you can't, you can't. Make sure you let your parents know that you are going to Denny's. We've had students in the past forgetting to do that and that ended up badly. Considering we have 2 shows on Saturday, getting grounded would be very bad.
Tonight is show 4 and remember the things we learned from show 3. Probably most important takeaways were making sure your mics are off backstage and not hanging out in the costume room due to it's sound proof capabilities. We'll add on not yelling backstage or in MC-8 if something does go wrong. Remember any loud noises carry out into the auditorium. It's just the poor way the building was built.
Mic check at 6:10 for everyone.
After tonight's performance, you do not have to break down your make up stations (leave the mirrors up!) , but you do need to make sure all mics, costumes and props are put away. We also need to make sure that we throw away any garbage too because I don't think a custodian will set foot in this room again until Monday. You should be able to get out of here faster if everyone helps to clean up. Again, no one but you will be in this room tomorrow, so if you leave things out, they should be fine.
I'll be here tonight sometime between 5 and 5:29. If you come before that, plan on waiting outside.
Saturday we have 2 shows (What? We do?) so we have two separate call times. The first call is at 12:00 noon for the matinee that starts at 1:30. Get ready and plan to do mic chacks at 12:40 and gather in a circle at 1:15.
You do not have to clean up between shows, but it will make it easier to leave faster Saturday night if you pick up all garbage. Please do put mics, costumes and props back before you leave around 3:30ish.
2 hours later be back at 5:30 for one last show! The routine for that will be like all other night shows except you may see some tears near the end. That's normal. It's the last time we'll be together...or is it?
After Saturday night's show, plan on cleaning up bigtime! We'll be doing major clean up Monday afternoon of costumes and set pieces, but we do need to restore MC-8 to a working classroom before you leave. Since we probably won't have custodians coming in, we'll probably need to vacuum if the floor looks icky.
That's it!
See you tonight as we erase Thursday from our memories and concentrate on giving our new audience the best possible show that we can give!
