Here you go.
This is where you can share your thoughts about how opening night went. You can critique or praise, it is up to you. You can also share thoughts of audience members if you'd like.
For where you were Thursday and Yesterday, you really pulled it together. Sure there were some problems, but nothing compared to rehearsals of last week. Keep having fun with the show as the audiences tend to grow over the week. You'll get more comfortable performing as the week goes on, and you'll be proud of what you've pulled together. If you made mistakes tonight, don't dwell on them, just learn from them.
I do want to piggy back on Ashlyn's mic tape thing first before I move onto Wednesday- I really will ban all mic tape if that continues to be an issue. I was pretty specific about not putting tape on the piano because it damages the piano, and she said 6 pieces were stuck to it? Seriously, use the garbage cans. I have so many of them. As I'm typing this, I'm looking at another piece stuck to the rug...oh, and another piece as I scan the room. You have one more chance...but that's it!
For Wednesday-
Call time is 5:30- Please as soon as you enter the door, turn and sign the sign in board. Please don't make me have to remind you again and again and again. That's our number one way of proving you are here, especially if we don't see you. Again, NEVER have anyone sign the board for you.
Use 5:30-6:25 to get costumes and make up on and to grab the mics and do the mic checks. Please grab your own microphone and do your own check. You're ultimately responsible for your mic and if it works properly or not. Don't put that on someone else.
At 6:25 the "house is closed" so you can't go out past the back black curtains. If you didn't do the mic check by then...too late
6:45- Gather around in a circle! Due to popular request, I'll sing that song...(time permitting.)
6:55- I'll exit to the ticket area to see how things are going. I'm sure your Drama presidents will help with the final countdown to showtime.
7:00- SHOWTIME~
8:35 (you did knock off 5 more minutes tonight!) end of show and clean up- Please remember to take mics out first before anything else. Since they are $500 delicate pieces of machinery, we want to make sure they are safe and sound.
On Tuesday everyone was out of here by 9:05, so that's probably the time we'll be out every night if everyone continues to help clean up! That's not too shabby.
Okay...time for your comments (good or bad) Let them roll!
