There will be no Drama Club meeting on May 8th, since we'll be technically meeting the day before to clean up the show.
On the piano are forms to fill out if you are interested in being a part of the 2018-19 Drama Council. It's a simple one page form and shouldn't be too difficult to complete. If you want to run for office, you need to return the form to me by May 14th. If you fail to meet the deadline, you cannot run for office.
On May 15th, right after school in MC-8 will be Council Interviews. If you want to be a council member, you must attend the interview. They shouldn't take more than one hour.
On May 16th, we're requesting that all Drama Club members come, because that is the day we will be voting for the new Council. The nominees will be giving speeches and then voting will happen immediately afterwards. I will count the ballots and announce the winners before the end of the meeting.
New council members will be expected to be part of the Drama Awards night (see a separate thread) in some capacity (there is a passing of the torch thing...), and you'll have your first official meeting in June.
Just a note for MG students- We are only able to have an MP council next year. This doesn't mean that you can't run though. If you were to win, we would assign an MP person as a co-council member for official paperwork, etc. We have been told that unless MG has their own official Drama Club that contributes money to our productions, that we cannot have a MG Drama Club council. If that's confusing, you can talk to me. I can confuse you more.
If you have any questions about elections, you can ask me or any of our current council members. I hope to see a lot of people running for offices (all the details are on the form!) and best of luck to you all!
