Please note that this is our last week of rehearsals that start at 2:30. Starting April 23rd, we'll be here at night (except the Senior Matinee)
On April 16th we have our 1st FULL run of the show. This is such a big deal! To make it go smoothly, please do the following:
1) Go over ALL of your lines and songs this weekend, especially the ones you've struggle with either forgetting or paraphrasing.
2) Be here on time Monday!
3) When you arrive please sign in first and then get your microphone. Test it BEFORE the pit arrives. Once they are here and warming up, we can't do it.
4) Warm up begins at 2:30. Check your props either before or after warmup.
5) The goal is to start Act 1 at 2:45 so we can get through the entire show before 5:00. That gives us about a 1/2 hour cushion to start and stop if needed. We will stop the show if we find things are not quite right.
6) I'm giving my computer to the sound board, so hopefully sound effects will play as written and on time. That'll be the one new thing on my end.
7) The prop cart has been moved back by the wall so we can plug in different lighting. The lamp currently back there, while great, lights up too much of the backstage and we can see your feet and shadows. I won't move anything on the cart, but just know it's just moved back a few feet.
8) We will give ourselves an intermission. It most likely will not be the full 15 minutes. I'll let you know how long when we take it. Mostly that depends on how smoothly Act 1 went.
9) When we are done, due to an urgent Drama Council meeting regarding the show, we will not do notes. There may be notes, but you'll have to read them somewhere on here. So at the end of rehearsal, just make sure your microphones are back on the chairs so they'll be ready to go on Tuesday. Make sure you clean up any messes made backstage and reset your props for Tuesday, because we're doing it ALL OVER AGAIN!
10) Drama Council will be meeting in MC-8, so if you are waiting for someone, please hang out in the auditorium until we are done.
Other things of note:
SKATES- We need size 10 "old school" roller skates by Monday. If you were one of those who said he/she would help out, let us know if you have success or not. That's literally about the last major thing needed for this show.
Rehearsal end- The hope is to be done by 5:00, but realize that's just hope. If you have rides coming, tell them to come closer to 5:15 if possible.
Take care of yourself! Next week we go 5 days straight including our famous midnight "Lock in" You may find yourself a little tired by Friday night. Take it easy this weekend and stay healthy! See you Monday!
