This is an illegal recording of "The Drowsy Chaperone" on Broadway. I'm not sure if you've watched videos of others doing your character, but take a look at this clip: youtu.be/jAYm-mReU_AIt's the opening of the show. Notice how the "Man" takes his time talking to the audience. His pauses (hopefully for laughter) and how speaks really set up the show for everyone. You can also see how he handles the record (showing it to the audience) and his excitement about sharing it with them. I'll see if I can find you a "record" brush to wipe your record with. It's a way of showing the care that "Man" has in keeping his record collection in good shape. For others who are not the "Man" reading this thread, it would be a really good idea over the next week to look up Youtube videos of the show and see what others have done with your characters. If you start with the video above, you can essentially watch the entire Broadway production video by video. There's nothing wrong with picking up on what other actors have done and using it for yourself. Actors are notorious thieves. We're proud of that. Heck, it might even be a great idea to put on one of the full productions that have been done and just using it to practice your lines and songs. Let me know below if you did this, and if you got any new ideas that you want to try out April 9th and 10th!

This is a really good bootleg y'all and you'll love it! I actually cried the first time I watched it. Over break I'm gonna use it to improve my french accent for Mimi.

I think it might be cool if all the characters brought in a bag/coat/something that we could take and put on a rack or something like they did in this recording. I don't know why I but I really like how it looks!

I don't know why I but I really like how it looks! I have a few costume items that we could do this with and I know that there are some bags and suitcases that could be used.

This is my favorite version of the man that I've seen! It also is my favorite version for energy and comedic timing. It has a very different perspective on the characters, check it out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeOJE_JfmlU
