LOCATION:
The 2019 ceremony will be held Monday, June 3rd at 7PM at The 5th Avenue Theatre. The 5th Avenue Theatre is located at 1308 5th Avenue, Seattle WA 98101.
TICKETS:
If you are interested in tickets to this evant, please respond below with the number of tickets that you would like to get. We don't have updated prices yet, but for the ;past few years they usually cost $20 for students and $30 for adults.
We need to pay for the tickets in advance by early next week. Unfortunately they require payment before any awards are announced, so you can't wait to see if we were nominated for anything.
If you respond that you want tickets, don't go to pay for them until I tell you too in this thread. We have to do paperwork, etc. We will only order tickets for those that respond by May 13th. If you respond you are guaranteeing Drama Club that you will be paying for the tickets that you want. Please don't say you can go and then change your mind because Drama Club will still be buying your ticket. You can change your response up until May 13th. If Drama Club buys you a ticket and you decide not to go, you still have to pay for the ticket or find someone that will buy the ticket from you.
TUESDAY, May 21st:
* The nominations will be announced on the 5th Avenue facebook page as close to 5PM as is possible! www.facebook.com/5thave/
Regarding dress options for the awards ceremony from the 5th Ave:
I often get a question about what the students should wear to the ceremony. Any students who are performing in the ceremony are asked to wear costumes from their school show, including the participants in the opening All School Opening Number, if it is possible. Of course – not having the show costumes definitely would NOT mean a student can't participate! Other than that, there is not a dress code. Often we see students in semi-formal wear looking like they are going to the Tony Awards - and sometimes a whole group will come in their production T-shirts. And it is always a blast to see the house full of characters from all the different shows, so wearing your show’s costumes is welcome even if your whole school is not participating on stage!
Klem note: Obviously we won't have costumes available to wear (unless they were ones that we bought ourselves) I'm cool with either show t-shirts or dressing up.
If you have any questions about the awards ceremony or tickets, just let me know.
