Things to know for the final show...
CALL IS AT 10:30 AM
Please, I'm begging you to be on time.
HOUSE CLOSES at 11:25 AM. You gotta do your mic check before this time. Do not wait until the last minute because it won't get done.
WARMUP at 11:45 AM . Don't be late!
SHOW starts at 12:00 NOON
Serious note for everyone- Please plan on doing the same exact show that you've been doing for the past 5 shows (+2 matinees.) I've had a few instances over the past 15 years of a student or two thinking it would be fun to "change up the show" during the last show. It's always a major fail and results in ending everything we've worked for on a bad note. We've had cast members sabotage scene changes (one that took 4 minutes to fix while the audience waited), add colorful language, throw in extra lines, make other cast members break character on stage....all with the same sad results. This show is a huge group effort that everyone has worked so hard to create. It's an insult to the hard work everyone put in to suddenly try to make the show all about you. Please don't do it. You'll regret it. We have those special guests again and we want to give them our best show yet.
AFTER BOWS- Don't leave the stage. We have a closing show tradition where we call up the senior students involved in the show, line them up and they tell us who they are and their future plans are after high school. Tears may be shed. Bring tissues. Not to rush you, but I think the MG students who are going to prom would appreciate it if you don't take 5 minutes for each speech. You have a lot of seniors this year.
After that, you'll thank them for coming, exit as always to greet them as they leave and then afterwards claan up one final time!
Then we'll see you Monday, but that's another thread...
