Here's a thread to share your thoughts on Friday's show. You can share your own comments or things you heard or were told. You can also discuss how amazing Morgan was for getting injured and continuing with the show. I've done that to my knee before so I could sympathize with him. To have that injury and to complete his performance was really above and beyond since we don't have a back up plan for injured cast members.
One think that I can't stress enough is safety for all cast members. Don't get too caught up in your part that you risk injury by not being careful. Once it was obvious that the brakes on the door set weren't set, we should've exercised a little caution. One thing I hate about this auditorium is that someone somewhere thought it would be awesome to have a cement stage. If you continue in Drama and work in theatre, you'll probably never encounter another cement stage in your life.
Aside from everything associated with Morgan's mishap, I thought the show overall went well. We had some weird lighting choices that we have never encountered before including hardly any light in the prologue. I'm gonna talk to them before tomorrow's show. I think that's why the candle was knocked off the wall...Morgan couldn't see.
Anyway...feel free to share your thoughts, other thoughts and your Morgan appreciations here. Hope you had fun at Denny's!
We will see you all here at 5:30 tomorrow. Not 5:31. Not 5:32. Not 5:33. Not 5:34....

I spent a solid ten minutes just thinking “LOOK AT THIS CHAMP.” Because Morgan, THAT was impressive.

Yes I have to agree with the odd lighting choices. One of our members panicked most of the time through the whole show and turned on the spotlight when it wasn't required. I've already talked about it with him and he said he wouldn't do it again. As for the prologue, we only spot the two while they are on stage, not when Morgan is in the West Wing, if that is a change you want to be done come and talk to me before the show tonight. Overall I think everyone did a great job last night, also shout out to Morgan for handling the fall so well and to everyone who was in the following scene on continuing the production so well.

I'll talk to you, but I thought I had it in the script. We're supposed to see Morgan as the Beast in the West Wing and the Rose. It's weird to start out the narration with the 2 characters and then go dark for almost another minute. I'll double check what I wrote when I get there.

Yall let's change most detacated to Morgan no matter what happens, the show must go on. i would expect anyone else to do it to, assuming they were seriously hurt. if any deserves most dedicated, it’s ashlyn, no questions asked. i wouldn’t even be on stage without her and no one else would be either. thank you though:)
