Just a few reminders if you are auditioning for the show on Monday or Tuesday
1) Bring your completed audition packet with the parent signature. You can have the greatest audition in the world, but without that packet, I can't give you a part in the show.
2) Along with that, make sure you filled out everything. Don't leave anything blank on accident.
3) We'll probably have groups doing the audition dance in groups of 3. We'll fit that in when we can but it could alter your audition time by 5 minutes or more. Even though you signed up for a certain time, it's kind of rare for us to actually be on schedule due to many different factors such as the dance audition.
4) Auditions are closed. That means that the only people in the auditorium will be me, Ashlyn (my assistant director), you and anyone that you invite to watch. If you choose to invite no one, that will not have an impact on you getting a part.
5) You can choose to do the song first or your monologue first. It's your choice. Tell us the title of each thing before you do it.
6) If you have music to go with your song, be prepared with it. Have it cued up and ready. We'll have some speakers you can plug into or you can just set it by the microphone out front on stage. Please make sure that your song does not have vocals on it. We want to hear you sing, not Lady Ga Ga. You cannot use the microphone to sing either.
7) After you've done both the song and monologue, we'll ask any invited people to leave the auditorium. We're going to ask you 4 questions before you go and ask you if you have any questions.
8) Be sure to smile! You'll have your picture taken before you begin and there's nothing sadder than a grumpy looking actor. Unless you have a serious monologue/song we want to see those teeth!
9) Parts will be announced on several social media platforms such as this website, twitter and Facebook. Be sure to be checking them after 7:00 am on Wednesday.
10) If you accept your part, you need to let us know. You can initial the clipboard on the piano in MC-8 at MP, respond to this website's thread, or leave a message on Facebook or Twitter. You should do this before school is out on that Wednesday. Any unaccepted parts will be given out that afternoon. Drama Council will be meeting and there will be an attempt to contact you before we give your part away.
