Just some heads up information for you as we head into the last 1/2 of our rehearsal schedule. Please read everything and respond that you read it (and also do the hidden task somewhere in these notes.)
- We have 10 rehearsals left. Only 10. Starting Monday we're doing full runs throughs of the shows, so ALL cast members must be in attendance. This is where things get real, and when cast members being absent starts to really hurt us. We're trading in our scripts for wands on Monday, and we're adding a bunch of things before we invite our stage crew on the 29th. I can't ask this enough, but please, please clear your schedules for these final rehearsals. One person missing can mess up a crazy amount of stuff, no matter how big or small your part may be. This is where we start to click the pieces of the show puzzle together, and missing pieces will set us behind.
-Be on time! I know it's been difficult for some of you, but if you're in the first few scenes and you are late all 10 days, you will NEVER have rehearsed those 10 times and it will show. We will start promptly at 2:30 each and every day.
-No scripts on stage! You've been warned this day would come. As of Monday, no scripts will be allowed on stage. If you can't remember your line, all you need to do is say the magic word "LINE" and I will help you out. If for some reason things get really off the rails, I'll stop you all and go back to where things were correct. Please, please make sure that you've made an attempt at memorizing because that will determine how long rehearsal is going to be. If we have to keep feeding someone lines, rehearsal is going to go very, very long.
-One entrance and one entrance only. Starting Monday, the only way to get into the auditorium is through the lower auditorium doors on the bus side. Your task is to not let anyone in through the doors in MC-8 and the hallway. If they read the notes, they would know this. Don't enable them by letting them in because they knocked and cried at the other doors.
-It's never to early to start working with costumes, especially those of you that have costume changes. If your costume is here start working with it as soon as possible. Monday would be great. If you're needing pieces let us know sooner than later. Have your wands too, especially if you use them in the show. We need to make sure that they don't get habitually dropped.
-Rehearsals this week are the last chance to get everything right before stage and tech crew come in. Once they come aboard, this show becomes insane. Take rehearsal seriously this week and please know all of your entrances and exits. We should know them by now, but we're still having issues.
That's it for now. Please respond that you read this, and make sure that you do the super secret task hidden above!
