Rehearsals November 25th and 26th (The final 4 begins)
- Nikole was interested in starting make up on Monday along with our costumes. If it's agreeable to cast and crew, we can do that, but it'll make our rehearsals run a little later both days.
Unless someone (or a lot of you ) object. We can have you come in, spend 2:15-3:00 making sure your props are in the right spot, getting costumes on and also do makeup. We would start the actual show at 3:00 pm and finish around 5:30/5:45ish. If you can't/don't want to do that, respond on the Google Classroom version of this thread. If you don't reply, we'll assume you're okay with this.
Both days are full run throughs. You've managed to cut my notes in half, but can you make me take even less notes? That's the goal for Monday and Tuesday. That means you need to take care of any of those lines that are still giving you problems. That means 2 certain people should really get their scripts from the stage and go over them this weekend. If you find time, take time (if you still have not yet) and watch the Youtube videos and even the actual movie the show is based on. Watch how your character(s) is/are portrayed. See if there is anything the actor/actress is doing that you would like to include in your portrayal. In English classes, we tell you not to copy other people's work, but in Drama it's encouraged to "borrow" once in a while.
Side note to anyone who handles the Red Ryder guns: It is so important that they are put in their boxes and returned behind my desk each time. That's one of the conditions we have to follow if we want to use them in the show. One of them was just left backstage. If it had been seen by administration just laying backstage, the Red Ryder we'd be using in the show would be one that will be made of cardboard, plastic, styrofoam and duct tape. I prefer the real deal partner! If you see either of them carelessly left backstage or onstage after a rehearsal/show you have my permission to get it back to the "safety zone."
If you have any specific questions about next week, be sure to ask below. If it's a costume question respond to that thread on Google Classroom. If you're cool with getting done by 5:45 you don't need to respond, but if it's an issue, please do.
See you Monday!
