October 28th and 29th! Short Week!
On October 28th, we'll be doing ALL of ACT ONE Twice! This is YOUR LAST CHANCE to have a script on stage for Act One, so keep working on those lines! November 5th will be the day that you'll be one stage scriptless (or "off book") so you've still got time...just know that time goes by pretty fast. I want to get the books out of your hands, so we can start putting props in your hands!
On October 29th, we'll be doing ALL of ACT TWO Twice! You do not have to have Act Two memorized until November 12th and you will get one extra day after this date to have scripts in your hands.
October 30th, 31st and November 4th are non-rehearsal days. I sadly have to go to New York, see some Broadway shows and meet more famous people. It'll be rough. Pray for me.
Use that time to work on studying and learning lines. This is 7 1/2 hours that you'll have extra to work on this task. Use it. Sometimes if we don't have a scheduled rehearsal, some cast members might meet somewhere and work as a group to get lines down. You can do that...or do it on your own. It's up to you. Please come to rehearsal on November 5th with your lines in your brains. One of the benefits of working with someone is that they can help to make sure you're not paraphrasing your lines. That's when you say lines that are kind of close to what you're supposed to say...but not really. Most play contracts that I sign insist that the actors say what is written in the script word-for-word. I don't think MGM will send anyone to double check on us (I know Disney does) but try to memorize lines word-for-word. It'll help your fellow actors if you say the lines that they expect you to say.
If you have any questions, just ask! See Google classroom for your assignment for the upcoming week. It's all about costumes!
