1/2 of you probably won't read this, so this is for you wonderful people who do:
On Wednesday, May 1st we are not doing our usual pickup rehearsal that happens at night. It's been cleverly changed to a matinee performance of our show for a couple of local elementary schools.
If you filled out the permission slip and turned it in to me, you have been excused by your schools. I sent them to the attendance offices of MP, MG and 10th Street. If you did not, you will have to have your parent excuse you from school if needed.
CALL TIME is 8:30 am. Be here on time! There should be no excuses for being late. You did a much better job Saturday night, but we still had some late people not contact us. It's not that hard, really. Again, if you are running late, take a second to message us. It'll save us time tracking you down.
As always use your time for mic checks, costumes, make up and checking props.
9:45 is warm up time. Drop everything and warm up.
10:00 is the planned start time. That will only change if a school is late.
After show:
After bows, don't run off stage. We're going to have one of you thank the kids for coming and see if there is time for a Q & A. We'll set a mic up at the front of the stage and kids can come up and ask questions of the cast. We did this for "The Little Mermaid" and it was too cute for words.
After the Q & A you can say goodbye to the kids as they leave in the usual way.
Then comes the clean up. Since there is school on Thursday, you do have to magically make my room a classroom again before you go.
You can leave between 2 and 2:15 if you want to beat the busses out of here. Try not to leave earlier otherwise security will probably tackle you or interrogate you until you cry.
The best thing about this show on Wednesday is that you get to go home at the regular time, get a good night's sleep and be refreshed for Thursday night's performance!
Enjoy your Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off from the show! You've earned it!
