Another thread covers the previous week, but I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to jump ahead another week to show you how we've changed some things to help us make up for our lost snow rehearsals.
It's mentioned in the other thread and i'm going to repeat it here (and probably all future weekly threads), PLEASE make every effort to be here for every rehearsal. Once we get into March, we'll be down to our final 27 rehearsals. That sounds like a lot, but there's an awful lot going to happen in those 27 days. As those who have the experience can tell you, it gets more and more frustrating to rehearsal something this big when we're always missing cast members. I know Victoria is frustrated, Ashlyn is frustrated, and once it starts happening during blocking and working scenes, I will be frustrated
For March 4th : "Be Our Guest" choreo- We'll have you meet in MC-8 for 10 minutes to warm up and go over somethings with Victoria. We need EVERYONE here. If you're in our ensemble (either crony or enchanted object) YOU WILL BE IN THIS NUMBER. We need EVERYONE!
March 5th : Same thing as the day before. EVERYONE SHOULD BE HERE.
March 6th and 7th: Both days are scheduled as ACT 1 Run Throughs. We'll have you meet in MC-8 and work with Victoria for a 1/2 hour both days. Her choice on what you work on during that time. After she's done, we'll have you come out to the auditorium and we'll see how much you remember about blocking from the previous Thursday. You can have your scripts on stage Wednesday....but...
....you can't have them on stage Thursday. This is one of the consequences of too many snow days. We won't get as much time on stage with scripts like we usually get before they are yanked out of your hands. I hope you've been taking all of that time, since we first warned you that this day would be coming, to work on lines and songs. This will be the end of our week 6, so you'll have had 6 weeks for memorization by this point. That's actually more time than actors had for fall play memorization.
If you have any questions about this schedule for this week, just leave them in the comments below.
