Monday after school we'll be doing a Drama council meeting (should be quick) and then striking the set for the show. I'll have a "to do" list to share with everyone when you arrive. Please, if you can, come. It'll go so much faster and it'll give you one more chance to hang out before we officially close the books on this show. If everyone is here, I'm thinking it'll take an hour at the most. If not, well...longer. If you accidentally took home any costume pieces from Emmaline, please return them Monday. We have to inventory everything before taking things back.
But wait. There is more!
We won't have our usual 2nd Tuesday of the month Drama club meeting this week. Take the rest of the week off! You so deserve it!
If you are interested in a position on the Drama council next year, pick up a form from the piano. Have it filled out by May 14th, and hand it to me.
On Tuesday, May 15th, we'll interview all students interested in being on Drama Council next year.
On Wednesday, May 16th, this is where we need you again. We are having the Council nominees give speeches and then we will vote right afterwards.
Sometime that week, we will be offering tickets to the 5th Avenue Awards. The 5th Avenue watched our show many, many times....and everyone other high school many, many times to gather up nominations for the 5th Avenue High School Musical Awards to be held in Seattle on June 11th. You can go to www.5thavenue.org/education/student-programs to see more info. As soon as we find out how much they are, we'll let you know the details.
Nominations will be announced May 22nd at 5pm on their twitter and facebook pages.
Our own awards will be held here at MP at 7:00 on May 31st! Everyone who has been involved in a show this year should show up! There are so many nominees and more winners than ever this year! Come and cheer on your fellow former cast members!
Thank you again for your wonderful work on "Drowsy!" You have come so far in the past few months, and I do wish some of you Seniors would've joined us earlier, but I'm glad you chose to join us before you totally left MP!
See you Monday!
