...will be posted bright and early around 7:00 on Thursday morning in this thread. You can also see the cast list on our Facebook page and possibly Twitter.
If you accept your part, you can respond here that you want it, come to MC-8 and sign the cast list on the piano or let me know some other way that you want your part. I need to know by the end of school if everyone accepts their role, in case I need to recast.
There looks to be about 28 people total auditioning for 16 available parts in this show, so unfortunately some auditioning will not be cast. If you do not get a part, I strongly hope that you will consider working behind the scenes on this show (or at least help sell tickets!) Looking at the auditions yesterday, I can probably let you know that casting will be tough because it looks like most people are trying out for Janet, Drowsy, or Tottendale on the girl's side and Robert and George on the guy's side. Literally, if you don't get a role in this show it'll be because there was a lot of competition and a lot of good auditions. I'm impressed by MP and MG's talent, so far!
So if you do not get cast, do not take it personally. In any other show you may have been given a part, but this is a much smaller cast and to make it even tougher, we have to make sure our "couples" could really work together. Just a reminder, I'm not allowed to discuss casting once the cast list is officially posted. You may want to know why you didn't get a part or why you got a certain part or why you weren't cast. Just know there are a number of different factors and you may have gave us an awesome audition, but so did many, many others. And for those of you not on Drama council, don't worry. Being on Drama Council doesn't automatically give them an advantage over you.
Casting is a difficult process, but in the 17 years that I've been doing this in the district, it's very rare that I regret my choices. If you get a part, you totally deserved it. Break a leg at auditions this afternoon!
